Гжель, a city near Moscow — a 7-day architecture studio
Seven days on-site in the Гжельский куст. Twenty-seven villages packed into fifty square kilometres east of Moscow. A federation typology, not a brand. We read it for seven days: map the phenomena, build the atlas, intervene with plural moves, and propose architecture that situates rather than flattens. The territorial research method Lex te Loo developed at TU Delft, brought home to a Russian куст.

- What does the 30,000 ₽ cover?
- Studio fee, all meals (breakfast / lunch / dinner) for the 7 days, drawing supplies and all materials for the physical model, the 4 prep sessions delivered through LLL Online, and 2 months of LLL Online access after the studio. Tent, sleeping gear, and transport to and from the camp are separate.
- Where exactly is the camp?
- A small campsite inside the Гжельский куст (Раменский, Moscow Oblast, about 60 km east of Moscow). The exact location is shared with confirmed participants two weeks before. Public transport from Moscow plus a 20-minute walk reaches it.
- What language is the studio in?
- English. The working language of the studio — briefings, critiques, the atlas captions, the final review — is English. This is a strength, not a hedge. Russian-speaking participants: you will be more than fine; on the куст you will hear plenty of Russian, and the AI-assisted translation pass covers Russian-only primary sources.
- Do I need to be an architect?
- No. Architects and urbanists are the natural fit, but the method works for researchers, writers, curators, photographers, and anyone who works seriously with territory.
- Refunds?
- The 20% deposit is non-refundable from the moment you reserve. Balance refundable up to 30 days before start. After that, the seat and meal supply are committed.
